Community comes to life
The first residents of Movida are on the move as they become ‘pioneers’ of the brand new community.
Martin Nicholls and Natasha Rankin, Joenel Balino and Dalen Ramo are enjoying the sense of freedom that home ownership brings as their Movida life begins.
Having met each other already, the two couples are keen to see the rest of their street move in so they can begin to get to know each other and build their own little community.
“It will be great to see a few more families and neighbours move in – we’ve already met our soon to be next door neighbours and they are really lovely people,” explained Martin.
Martin Nicholls is a production machine operator who moved from New Zealand with his partner, Natasha Rankin, a customer service officer, four years ago. It’s a big move for the childhood sweethearts who are still in their early 20s but keen to get onto the property ladder with their first home together.
“After working so hard to get where we want to be, the freedom of our own home is incredible,” said Martin.
“We love the idea that the house is ours and a blank canvas for us to do whatever we would like to!” said Natasha.
Joenel, a skilled worker in the vehicle body building industry, and Dalen who works as a cleaner at Midland Gate shopping centre, are doubly excited to become residents as they not only move into their first home, but now can bring their two young children over from the Philippines to join them.
“It’s been very hard being away from our children, but we’re excited to be able to introduce our kids to the Australian outdoors and everything Movida has to offer,” said Joenel.
