Woodville Rd, SA: A Blueprint for Affordable Housing Success

Located eight kilometres from the Adelaide CBD in St Clair, Woodville Rd has dedicated 45% (84 homes) to long-term affordable housing, which is three times higher than what is typically required by the State Government.

Developed in partnership with the South Australian government, the community includes both apartments and Torrens titled terrace homes offered at various sizes and price points, which created suitable options for first time buyers, young families, and downsizers.

44 affordable homes were marketed by HomeSeeker, enabling low to moderate income earners to become homeowners, while community housing provider Junction has bought 40 homes which will be used as affordable rentals.

Woodville Rd also incorporated the Shared Equity initiative in collaboration with HomeSeeker, aimed at making homeownership more attainable and helping homebuyers enter the market. Through HomeStart, eligible homebuyers receive a secondary loan under Shared Equity, boosting their borrowing power and providing an interest-free and repayment-free loan of up to 25% of the purchase price.

National Tree Planting Day

Each year, Peet communities from all over Australia come together to celebrate National Tree Day as a national community initiative focused on educating the next generation about sustainability and how they can make a meaningful and positive impact.

Peet partners with schools and our environmental consultant team to teach young people about their local environment, with the aim of instilling a passion for sustainability and to encourage care and connection for the community they live within.

National Tree Planting Day is Australia’s largest tree planting and nature care event that aims to teach school students about caring for the local environment.
