Your career journey

Peet offers professional development and career progression to all levels of staff from administration to graduate and management roles.

Prior to joining the Peet team, we follow a thorough and well considered, two-way recruitment process. This allows us to learn more about you, as well as giving us an opportunity for you to gain insights about Peet and the opportunities that lie ahead.

  • First interview - usually with your hiring manager and another Peet team member, we will generally focus on gaining an in-depth understanding of your experience and share with you details on the company, the role and culture you can expect at Peet.
  • Harrison Assessment - an online work preferences questionnaire to help us understand your preferred working style and what motivates you.
  • Second interview -  we will share with you the results of the Harrison Assessment and have a more detailed discussion about your working style and how your style would fit the role and Peet.
  • Reference checks - following a successful second interview, we will ask your permission to speak with two of your nominated referees.
  • Intention of offer - this will be made in writing and will outline the conditions that would be contained in your Employment Agreement.
  • Employment Agreement - upon acceptance of your Intention of Offer, we would progress to formalising the offer with your Employment Agreement.

Kate, Project Marketing Manager

“All the interactions I had during my recruitment told me that Peet was small enough that I wouldn’t be just a number, but big enough that I would be part of a business that made a difference. At Peet I knew I would have the opportunity to make a big impact. The prospect of working for a national business that builds communities and helps create better futures for Australian families is one that excited me.”

“It was the name and the size of the company that attracted me to Peet. As a large employer with its head office in WA, you have an array of opportunities and the confidence of knowing Peet will be here for the long-term. I like to work in a collegiate way and achieve the best outcomes. At Peet, even though there may be stressful times, you’re working with people who are giving 100% and always trying their best.”

“I just love the people. The Company still has a family feel despite it being a big Company - I speak to the people in our offices in other states, and I feel like I know them all. And as the Group expands and the Company moves into different areas, there’s always more to explore and learn, and I love the variety that my role offers.”

Pavan

Pavan, Finance Manager – Corporate

“I like challenges and I like learning – and you learn something here every day. It’s such a large Group with so much complexity, and there’s always new things to learn. I’m challenged to think outside the box and the best thing is that I have the freedom to do the thinking and give very direct advice. I’m genuinely engaged and involved by the most senior executives. The people are great here in every department. And there’s a ‘United Nations’ here – it’s so diverse which is quite rare, and a credit to this organisation.”
