The story behind Millers Row.

In 1863, early settler Moses Thomas constructed a steam-operated flour mill and neighbouring bluestone cottage on the western bank of the Plenty River, in what is now Plenty Gorge Park. It was the last and largest of three flour mills to be built on the banks of the Plenty River.

South Morang has seen a lot of progress in the last 150 years and it has become a friendly, established community with a vibrant mix of cultures and amenity, just 25km from the Melbourne CBD.

In recognition of the contribution Moses Thomas and the other millers have made to the area, Peet have named our new community ‘Millers Row’.
