What makes a community a great place to live? While everyone’s list looks a little different, having the essentials close to home is a great place to start. Think parks for weekend adventures, schools nearby, an abundance of local community events, places to stay active and everyday conveniences right around the corner.

At Peet, we design communities with connected, walkable living in mind, making it easier to enjoy the things that matter most without travelling far from home.

Here are our top five essentials that help make a community a great place to live.

1. Parks and open spaces

Parks and open spaces do more than provide somewhere to spend time outdoors. When they’re just a short walk from home, they become part of everyday life, making it easier to stay active, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy time in the fresh air.

Across our communities, you’ll find a variety of outdoor spaces, from lakes, walking trails and nature reserves to playgrounds and community parks. Designed to be easily accessible, these spaces encourage people to explore their neighbourhood on foot, support healthier lifestyles and create opportunities for everyday interaction within the community.
