Organised by Black Dog Institute, One Foot Forward is a free virtual event that encourages people to walk, run or roll to show support for the 1 in 5 Australians facing mental illness each year, while raising funds for crucial mental health research and support services. It’s also a great opportunity to look after our own mental and physical health and connect with our neighbours.
This year, we’re proud to have the Lovable Lakelands team leading the charge, with a community goal of $2,000! We’d love for you to join them in representing the Lakelands community. To help make every step count, there are some great incentives on offer including $250 for the Lakelands participant who raises the most funds and $250 for the person who logs the most kilometres. Plus, if our Lakelands community collectively raises $2,000, Peet will contribute an additional $500 to the fundraising total!
You can also join as an individual participant, rally your own group, or contribute through donations. Funds raised through our collective efforts will help Black Dog Institute put treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of people who need them most. We look forward to moving together this October!
