Community Carols in the Park a Great Success
Flagstone community flocked to the Flagstone Community Christmas Carols in the Park last Saturday to enjoy a late afternoon outing with family and friends for the Christmas festivities.
Guest enjoyed the angelic voices of the local children and students performing and signing some of our favourite carols such Silent Night, Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and Santa Claus is coming to Town, followed by special guest performances by Angie Grace and Erin Reus.
Santa Claus arrived by police escort and it was worth the wait in line to grab a photo with Santa and receive a special gift from the jolly man himself.
It was great to see community members bring along a gift to place under the tree for the annual Flagstone Christmas Toy Drive coordinated by a local business Rdy2Shred. Peet Flagstone sales office will continue to be a drop off point for toys this season until 19 December 2019.
Kids enjoyed playing with friends at the skate park or on the adventure playground. Whilst parents browsed some unique homemade and home grown Christmas market stalls or feed the family from the array of food trucks.
The evening finished with everyone turning on their Flagstone candles, looking to the sky as they enjoyed the Aussie Flagstone City laser light show!
Peet Flagstone was proud major sponsor for the Carols and provided funding and support to the Flagstone Community Association who pulled off an amazing community event. They collaborated with Church on the Way, SES, Jimboomba Gymnastics, local Fad dance troup, Good Start Early Learning Child Care Centre Flagstone, Imagine Childcare & Kindergarten Flagstone, Flagstone State School and Flagstone State Community College.
