The Avenue Estate enjoyed a vibrant day of connection and community on Saturday, 16 May, as residents came together for the Community Quest. With a strong turnout, the event created a welcoming atmosphere and a great opportunity for neighbours to connect.
A range of local volunteer groups contributed to the day’s success. Neighbourhood Watch shared practical advice on community safety, while the Armadale Volunteer Fire Rescue Services drew plenty of interest with their fire truck, giving children a memorable up-close experience.
Younger attendees were kept entertained by Little Learners Place, whose sensory play activities were a clear favourite. An Armadale Hills Tourism representative was also on hand, engaging with residents and highlighting local attractions and hidden gems in the area.
Families gathered across the open space to enjoy a variety of activities, with Gecko Sports running games that catered to all ages. The popular pizza and ice cream van added to the relaxed atmosphere, ensuring everyone was well looked after.
Throughout the afternoon, there was a strong sense of community, with residents taking the time to meet, chat, and build new connections. Events like Community Quest continue to highlight what makes The Avenue Estate a great place to live – a supportive and connected neighbourhood.
