On Saturday 4 October 2025, the Lovable Lakelands Town Team proudly launched their One Foot Forward fundraising campaign at Black Swan Lake. The morning began by fuelling the team with coffee and hot chocolate before they warmed up and headed off on their walk.
Around 20 locals joined the walk as Lakelands enjoyed a pocket of perfect weather, allowing the team to set off around the lake without a drop of rain.
The Lovable Lakelands Town Team has been making incredible strides in their fundraising efforts. With nearly $5,000 raised so far, they’ve climbed into the top 10 teams nationally in the One Foot Forward campaign – an inspiring achievement that reflects the community’s dedication to supporting mental health research.
