Now in its 17th week, the Lakelands parkrun at Black Swan Lake has quickly become a highlight for our local community, continually drawing impressive numbers.
Attendance has been consistently strong since the event’s launch, with around 100 – 130 participants participating each Saturday, cheered on by friends and family lining the verges.
Local businesses are also benefitting from the weekly gathering, with five cafes promoted as post-run meeting spots for runners and supporters alike to enjoy coffee and breakfast together, further strengthening community ties.
Lakelands parkrun is proving to be a much-loved addition to the area and the team look forward to welcoming even more participants as the event continues to grow.
