Work is officially underway to transform our beloved Black Swan Lake into an even more amazing place to play, relax and connect!
Over the coming months, you’ll see this much loved space come to life with:
- A brand-new adventure playground – featuring a rope swing, flying fox, ninja course and log walk (fun for kids big and small!).
- Barbecue and picnic areas – perfect for lazy weekend catch ups by the lake.
- A new accessible toilet block – designed with everyone in mind.
- Smooth pathways and inclusive play zones – making it easy for prams, wheelchairs and little feet to explore.
Black Swan Lake has always been the heart of Lakelands, from Parkruns to family picnics, it’s where so many memories are made. These upgrades are all about making it even better for our residents, with new features inspired by community feedback.
Construction kicks off this November, with the grand reveal expected mid-2026. We can’t wait to see families enjoying the new playground, sizzling snags by the BBQs and soaking up the beautiful lakeside vibes once it’s all complete.
Plus, more exciting news! Westlake Park is now open featuring a fantastic new playground and BBQ area. It’s the perfect spot for an afternoon play and picnic while we wait for the Black Swan Lake upgrades to be finished. Stay tuned for updates (and sneak peeks 👀) as the transformation takes shape!
