🚆 West Tarneit Station Update
Construction continues to make significant progress on the new West Tarneit Station, which is Sunday, September 13, 2026* and provide improved transport access Newhaven residents.
What’s Happening on Site?^
✅400 new commuter car parking spaces are taking shape, alongside a dedicated 4-bay bus interchange to help create seamless transport connections.
✅ Major works on the station precinct are advancing, including the station platforms, shelters, underpass, entrances and stairs.
✅ More than 17,000 native trees, plants, shrubs and grasses will be planted throughout the precinct, creating an attractive and welcoming environment for future passengers.
✅ Sustainability initiatives are also being incorporated, with excavated basalt rock from the site being recycled into concrete used within the station precinct, helping reduce construction waste.
