To celebrate National Tree Planting Day at Newhaven, on 31 July 2025, students at Wimba Primary School and Kindergarten planted 50 trees in their grounds that will grow alongside them as part of Peet’s commitment to sustainability. The tree planting day was a collaborative effort, with commercial landscaping company LD Total providing their expertise, and Peet employees joining teachers and students to establish new garden beds, including planting larger trees for screening along the school fence line. The initiative builds on last year’s inaugural planting day and continues Peet’s commitment to fostering an environmentally conscious community in Newhaven. By enhancing shared green spaces, the tree planting partnership helps inspire students to develop their green thumbs as they protect and preserve their school environment.
