When does my bin get emptied?

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield collects waste weekly. Residents’ rubbish is collected every Friday, and recycling bins are collected every other Friday.

Do I need to register my pet?

It is important to update your pet’s details when you move house. That way, if your dog or cat gets lost, they can be quickly identified and reunited.

Who do I contact if a street light is not working?

Verges and green open space maintenance

All reserve landscaping has been complete and Peet will maintain the public reserves for a period of time, before maintenance responsibility ultimately falls to the Council in late 2026. Verge landscaping is to be completed by homeowners. Some homeowners may be eligible for free front landscaping which includes the verge, as part of their land purchase at Fort Largs. Please refer to your Land Contract for further details. All verge maintenance responsibilities fall to the homeowner, in accordance with Council’s policies.

There is a burst water main in the verge/road. Who do I contact?

You should contact SA Water in the first instance to investigate the burst water main, and they will send someone out urgently.

How do i organise my TV and internet connection?

NBN is the telecommunications provider at Fort Largs and infrastructure has been delivered for Fibre To The Premises (FTTP). To arrange your NBN connection, you will need to register your address with NBN and coordinate connection via your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you experience any issues relating to the provision of telecommunications to your home, you will need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Encumbrances?

Does the encumbrance still apply now that Fort Largs is sold out? 
Yes, the encumbrance still applies and is being managed and administered by Peet for the time being. All land owners are required to seek encumbrance approval for their house plans by contacting Peet directly. Additionally, the lift and replace approval process for property transfers is still required. Through this process, the Fort Largs encumbrance is lifted from the current land title, and replaced onto the new title with the new owner’s details. Your conveyancer will typically arrange this process with on your behalf. You will need to allow a minimum of 14 days for a lift and replace approval to be granted. Please note that this can hold up settlement of the property if the encumbrance has not been met, or if you do not provide sufficient time or documentation to approve the lift and replace.

Can I install a security door on my property?

Yes, however, it needs to be contemporary in design, with the frame colour and style to match or complement the façade of your home. No traditional crosshatch style security doors are permitted.

Am I allowed to sell my land without building on it?

Selling land without a home is not permitted under the Fort Largs encumbrance. This still applies as the encumbrance is still being managed / administered. If you are in the situation where you cannot meet your obligations under the encumbrance, please enquire with Peet directly.
