Monster playground coming to Flagstone

Move over Queensland theme parks, the best free fun for families is coming to Flagstone.

The $2 million playground has an adventure and discovery theme with experiences for everyone – from tiny tots to tough mudders, including inclusive play opportunities.

If height gets your motor running, the main structure is an 11 metre high tower (comparable to a three storey building), with two sky cabins linked by a giant octanet and 19 metre long skybridge.

The new playground will be the centrepiece of Flagstone’s $12 million regional discovery park, which already boasts a dog park with water play equipment and competition-standard skate plaza.

Designed by Brisbane-based Urban Play, this will be the first park of this size and magnitude in South-East Queensland.

The playground concentrates on encouraging free play, where there really are no rules, asking kids to push themselves to new heights and to experience moving play in a form they’re not used to. It’s a great place to meet new people, create friendships, explore and learn about yourself.

Nearby, there is also a special toddler town – close to the main action – but carefully crafted to provide a stimulating, sensory experience for young children and those with special needs.

The new playground will truly be a play space for all ages. Families will want to spend the whole day here. There’s also no doubt that people will return time and time again, assured of a new experience each and every time.
