People’s Choice Awards
The Flagstone Favourites People’s Choice Awards put the spotlight firmly on the businesses locals love most.
This category is 100% community‑driven, giving Flagstone residents the chance to vote for their favourite local businesses across eight categories. From everyday essentials to standout services, these awards celebrate the businesses that residents choose, support, and recommend.

Stage 1: Business Nominations
Local businesses nominate themselves into the category that best represents their services.
Nominations open: 29 May 2026
Nominations close: 22 June 2026
Stage 2: Public Voting
Once nominations are finalised, it’s over to the community. Residents vote for their favourites in each People’s Choice category.
Voting opens: 29 June 2026

People’s Choice Award Categories

Restaurants, takeaways, cafés, bakeries, butcheries, bottle shops and food retailers.
This category celebrates the food and drink businesses that keep Flagstone fueled and connected. Honouring the professionals who help our community look and feel their best, this category recognises local businesses delivering confidence, self‑care and wellbeing. From fresh haircuts and relaxing massages to immaculate nails and grooming services – nominate the businesses that keep Flagstone feeling great.
3. Health, Medical & Pharmacy Services
Medical centres, dental clinics, pharmacies, allied health and health‑support services.
This award recognises the essential health professionals who support the wellbeing of Flagstone residents. Whether providing trusted advice, ongoing care, recovery support or vital pharmacy services, this category celebrates accessible, compassionate, and community‑focused healthcare.
4. Fitness, Recreation & Leisure
Gyms, fitness trainers, dance studios, sports clubs and recreational activity providers.

This category recognises the professional and creative services that support both residents and local businesses. 7. Community, Education & Family Services
Daycares, playgroups, community centres, community associations, education programs and family support services.
Celebrating the heart of Flagstone’s community, this category honours organisations that nurture families, support learning, foster connection and create inclusive spaces. Nominate the groups making a meaningful impact through care, education and community development.
8. Retail, Markets & Specialty Shops
Home‑based retailers, market stalls, boutique sellers, car wash services, spice shops and specialty product providers.
This award recognises the unique and independent retailers that add character, convenience and diversity to Flagstone. From handmade goods and cultural foods to specialty products and practical services, this category celebrates the businesses that make our local area vibrant.
Business Excellence Awards
The Flagstone Favourites Business Excellence Awards recognise outstanding achievement, leadership, and impact within the Flagstone business community.
Unlike the People’s Choice Awards, these categories are judged awards. Businesses must complete a written submission outlining their achievements, approach, and impact to be considered. Submissions are assessed by an independent panel of judges, with winners announced at the Flagstone Favourites Awards Dinner.
These awards celebrate businesses that demonstrate exceptional standards, forward‑thinking ideas, and a genuine commitment to Flagstone.
