Our Lakelands, WA and Flagstone, QLD communities recently came together for a series of Mental Health Matters presentations, creating opportunities for connection, learning and open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
Presented by Black Dog Institute lived-experience speakers Amy-Ruth Lewis and Aleisha Power, the sessions combined personal stories with practical strategies to help attendees support their mental health and wellbeing in everyday life.
The events formed part of Peet’s ongoing partnership with the Black Dog Institute and highlighted the importance of creating spaces where people feel comfortable connecting, sharing experiences and accessing support.

Supporting wellbeing through the Peet Mental Health Hub
Attendees also learnt about the Peet Mental Health Hub, developed in partnership with the Black Dog Institute and available to both community members and employees.
The Hub provides free access to evidence-based mental health information, practical tools and wellbeing resources designed to support people at every stage of their mental health journey.
Since 2021, Peet’s partnership with the Black Dog Institute has helped connect communities and employees with trusted mental health education, resources and support. Recently extended for a further three years, the partnership continues to strengthen wellbeing and foster a greater sense of connection and belonging.

Creating places of belonging
At Peet, we believe strong communities are built on meaningful connections. Creating opportunities for people to come together, learn from one another and access support is an important part of our purpose of creating belonging.
The strong response from residents across both events highlights the value of community-led initiatives that encourage awareness, connection and wellbeing.
Thank you to Amy-Ruth and Aleisha for so generously sharing your experiences with our communities, the Black Dog Institute, Mondaze Burgers and Shakes for providing catering at the Flagstone event, Lovable Lakelands, and everyone who attended and contributed to these important conversations.
