Sustainable Living at Yanchep Golf Estate
Water Sensitive Urban Design
The Yanchep-Two Rocks region is growing, with the population expected to reach 155,000 in the coming decades.
It's important everyone does their bit for the environment which is why Yanchep Golf Estate will feature a range of sustainable design measures. This is particularly important in terms of water management as the area's population grows.
Yanchep Golf Estate is taking a strategic approach to Water Sensitive Urban Design. By integrating visually interesting yet highly practical measures into our design and ongoing environmental program we are able to improve water collection, retention and filtration as well as biodiversity across the site.
Designing your Sustainable Home
When researching design options for your home it is important to keep our precious environment in mind. Plus, building an energy efficient and sustainable home will not only benefit the future of our environment but will potentially provide some great cost savings for your home's future energy consumption.
The Australian Government has created a helpful guide, 'Your Home', that provides key information on the top housing designs, construction methods and materials to ensure an environmentally sustainable home.
Carnaby's Black Cockatoo Avoidance & Mitigation Plan
Yanchep Golf Estate has implemented the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo Avoidance and Mitigation Plan which has been prepared to mitigate impacts to the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo. This has been executed through the avoidance and protection of the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo habitat prior to, during and post construction within the project site at Yanchep Golf Estate.
Yanchep Golf Estate has also worked towards incorporating specific flora species into the landscaping of our projects, providing food sources for the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo.
