Environmental Conservation at The Village

 

The Village at Wellard has a comprehensive program to protect mature native trees, flora and fauna throughout the community. Residents are actively involved in conservation initiatives through the Ngulla Community Nursery, an environmental reference group and Friends of Wellard Bushland. Next door, the A-class Leda Nature Reserve is a bush forever site covering more than 400 hectares of tuart forest, wetlands and jarrah and banksia woodlands.

It is rare to find new residential land, in a pristine natural environment without travelling miles from city comforts, but now you can have the best of both worlds in The Village at Wellard.

In June 2014, Peet Southern JV Pty Ltd was granted approval under the provisions of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (“Act”) to continue the development of The Village at Wellard. It is a requirement of this approval that an annual compliance report is published during the development phase of the project.
