Movida supports Midvale Footy Clinic

The Midvale Junior Football Club is holding a free all-abilities footy clinic starting on Saturday, May 6.

So far more than 10 children have registered to take part in the six-week clinic, which is open to children of all ages.

Movida Estate is supporting the clinic through its community partnership program and every child taking part will receive a team shirt – to really make them feel like part of the crew.

Midvale Junior Football Club all-abilities clinic coordinator Alan Nairn said disability was no barrier to having fun on the footy field.

Mr Nairn said he would like to have about 20 children register to create some atmosphere and let the children bond as a team.

The children will get tips and training in the fundamentals of the game and the opportunity to have fun building friendships with others.

“We’re excited to provide this opportunity for children with special needs who don’t always have the chance to participate in these kinds of team sports clinics,” he said.

Clinic participants will be able to attend a wind-up where they will receive a showbag, trophy, and certificate and get to celebrate their efforts with train rides and a bouncy castle in a family fun event.

To register for the free all-abilities clinic, contact Alan Nairn on or call 0427 766 881.

Mr Nairn said the club was grateful to Movida Estate and hoped children made the most of the opportunity.
