Adventure Playground Temporary Closure
Hello residents and visitors. Good news! Flagstone’s exciting new Water Play Park is on track for delivery by this Christmas!
We have now reached a phase in the construction where large cranes will be used to lift portions of the water play structure into place. These lifts will be taking place very close to the Adventure Playground, and as such Peet and Logan City Council have had to make the difficult decision to close the playground down in the interest of community safety.
We have a tight program for delivery of this new exciting element to the Adventure Park and are committed to opening the park prior to Christmas holidays. To facilitate this delivery there is 2-3 weeks of crane lift operations. To ensure industry standards of safety are maintained, Peet and Logan City Council have approved an exclusion zone around the lift of approximately 40m. As soon as the crane operations are complete, we will reopen the park and the amenities block.
At this stage the Adventure Playground will be closed:
Monday 30 September to 21 October 2019
As soon as installation with crane is complete and there is no longer a safety risk to community, we will re-open the Adventure Playground. At this stage, 2-3 weeks represents the maximum time that the park will be closed for.
The toilet block will be part of the closure and we will be installing port-a-loos over at the oval for the entire closure period.
The Skate Park and Pirate Park will remain open to community and we have organised the Splash Lagoon in the second week of the school holidays for community to enjoy.
Again, we apologise for any inconvenience at this time and thank you for your patience while we invest these resources in making Flagstone an even better place to live.
