A MAJOR residential land developer has launched a campaign to help nervous buyers realise their great Australian dream.

The month-long “40 Under $400,000” promotion, which ends on November 3, is being run by Peet Limited and was designed to challenge price fears in the new home market.

Peet’s chief executive and managing director, Brendan Gore, said the company wanted to show there was still a big choice in quality, affordable homes in southeast Queensland.

“People are hearing a lot about escalating property prices and are really worried about being priced out of the market,” he said.

“A lot of people have started to give up on their dreams, but they just need to look a little more closely at the new product and new communities that are available.

“We want to reassure them that it isn’t too late. It is still very possible to buy an attractive family home that’s close to amenities and in an area with good investment potential for under the magic $400,000.”

Peet has 40 different house and land packages under $400,000 in growth areas near Ipswich, Caboolture and Logan.

Prices start from $295,000 with the First Home Owners’ Grant...
