Tarneit Gardens

At Tarneit Gardens, Peet has successfully transformed what was once 65 hectares of former farmland into a thriving masterplanned community that is today home to more than 1,100 households.

Strategically located in one of Victoria’s fastest growing municipalities, just 25 kilometres from the CBD, the Tarneit Gardens development has emerged as one of Wyndham’s best loved communities, attracting a diverse range of buyers since the first homesites were released in 2004.

Tarneit Gardens provided an outstanding residential living opportunity combining peaceful outdoor spaces in a semi-rural setting, and it is easy to see why the estate achieved sell-out success.

A Commitment to the local Environment

Tarneit Gardens was designed to be sensitive to the natural environment and support the long-term development of a vibrant, environmentally-conscious community.

The estate was carefully designed with an emphasis on community development, lifestyle and leisure facilities, family-focused amenities – and the provision of public open space.

The remarkable array of passive and recreational spaces for locals to enjoy is what really sets this community apart.

Tarneit Gardens features more than 10 hectares of public open space and parkland – including the five-hectare Camelot Park – one of three landscaped parks that helps create a tranquil heart of the community and a relaxed, friendly lifestyle.

In addition to the parkland, there are Council-run sporting fields and a natural waterway meandering through the estate for residents to enjoy.

The community’s natural waterway was retained and enhanced during the development process and now serves as one of the estate’s key features, providing even more public open space for residents to relax and enjoy.

To assist residents in establishing environmentally-friendly gardens that maximised the site’s natural surroundings, a bonus waterwise landscaping package  – “The Flying Start” package – was provided to all purchasers of new homesites.

Building a Community

Rarely does a community have access to such an amount of public open space as well as the level of local services and amenities that Tarneit Gardens’ residents enjoy.

The site for Tarneit Gardens was selected based on its proximity to planned and existing infrastructure and for the region’s growth potential. There were also good opportunities for current and future employment for the growing local population.

The community is also well serviced by public transport with bus services available along key routes near the community. Transport links are set to be further improved when Tarneit Link V-Line railway line, located on the corner of Derrimut Road and Leaks Road, is completed. City access is quick and convenient via the Princes Freeway.

There are several primary and secondary schools located within close proximity and land has been set aside for two future schools within Tarneit Gardens.

The village centre, located within the estate, will feature a Woolworths supermarket and 20 specialty stores when it opens for trading in December 2013.

Tarneit Gardens is located within a fast-growing region – so the community benefits from not only local amenities, but nearby ones. There are several shopping centres located within easy reach of the estate, including Wyndham Village Shopping Centre, Werribee Plaza and Hogans Corner Shopping Centre.
