Peet Limited extends its GreenSmart commitment

On 29 June 2006, HIA welcomed Peet Limited onboard as a National GreenSmart Leader during the HIA GreenSmart Forum held at the King's Park Function Centre in Perth.

"As an industry leader in residential development across Australia, the decision by Peet to support HIA GreenSmart by becoming a National Leader, reflects their ongoing commitment to developing sustainable residential communities across Australia," said HIA's WA Executive Director, John Dastlik.

HIA has a long association with Peet and over the last 3 years they have worked closely with HIA GreenSmart, as a Western Australian Regional Partner.

In 2005, Peet were winners in the 2005 and 2006 HIA WA GreenSmart Awards – Development of the Year Category. These awards reflect Peet's efforts in developing more sustainable communities.

HIA GreenSmart is a voluntary industry driven initiative where builders, developers, contractors, manufacturers & suppliers along with building designers and specifiers can learn more about sustainable housing design and construction.

Peet joins Austral Bricks, Bristile Roofing, AGL, Australand, Boral, Colorbond, Delfin Lend Lease, Hyne Timber, James Hardie, Nylex, Pilkington Smart Glass and Stockland as National GreenSmart Leaders.
