Second Chance for First Homebuyers 

First homebuyers have a second chance to build a new home at a Peet Limited estate with the help of a total of $21,000 in grants – thanks to the extension of the First Home Owners Boost (FHOB).

Homebuyers who sign a contract to build a new home on or before 30 September could be eligible for a FHOB of $14,000 and another $7,000 First Home Owners Grant.

Between 1 October 2009 and 31 December 2009, the FHOB is cut by half but first homebuyers could still be eligible for $14,000 toward their new homes.

Before making a grant application, first homebuyers will need to:

  • find a homesite
  • choose their preferred builder
  • select a home design
  • sign the building contract
